State level music, dance competitions begins

Vizag: Ms. VV Rani, Director, All India Radio, Visakhapatnam inaugurated the State level music and dance competitions here on Monday. Speaking on the occasion she said, one can relax through the music, this type of platforms would bring talented artists.

She congratulated the Kalavahini, music and dance institute for organising this competitions. The competitions will be held in Sub Junior, Junior and Senior category and children below 18 years of age are eligible to take part in it, organisers mentioned.

Competitions will be continued till 17 and winners will given awards on June 21, on the occasion of World Music day at the Kalabharati auditorium on a grand festival.

About 200 children from Srikakulam, Vizianagam and Visakhapatnam districts were enrolled their names with the organisers and exhibit their talent during the competitions. Trainees of classical music presented Veena, Violin, Vocal and Keyboard enthralled the audience.
